How do I remove dark brown hair coloring from a box?

So I dyed my hair dark brown about a week ago, and I was going to give it a while to see if i could get used too it. ICK. I hate it. I want to go back to being blonde.. is there any way that I can remove the hair dye?

I heard that putting some dish soap in your shampoo and then deep conditioning will take most of it out, should I try it?How do I remove dark brown hair coloring from a box?
I wouldn't experiment with home remedies and harsh chemicals, you could end up with a fried mess.

You can buy color removal products.

Some examples:

Loreal color Zap (about $10)

Gently washes away all permanent haircolor. Ideal for color correction , removal of dark shades, muddy , uneven results or color build up. Leaves hair ready for immediate re-coloring.

Loreal Effasol Color Remover (about $5)

Washes away permanent hair color, leaving hair ready for recoloring. Can be used with water or developer.

Satin Color Reverse Hair Color Remover Kit (about $15).

Bleach %26amp; ammonia free, reverses coloring process without damage. You can re-color the same day. It's a kit including a 3-step process.

Good luck! How do I remove dark brown hair coloring from a box?
There is a way to remove color from the hair (also known as color stripping) There is a product that goes by the name of Roux Color Removal. You'll need an applicator bottle, Seven Stages lightener (1 or 2 packs depending on the length of your hair), shampoo, conditioner and a plastic cap.

Mix the powder lightener with 2 ounces of the Roux Color Remover, apply to hair thoroughly (comb through with PLASTIC comb) and put on the cap to keep the body heat under the cap. Your body heat helps accelerate activation of the process. Watch the removal process for lightness, then rinse well. After the rinse, shampoo twice, then condition.

If this seems like too much work, hassle or complicated don't hesitate to go to a salon and have them do it let them have the headache!!! Lol
Don't try using dish soap on your hair, it will only strip you hair of precious moisture. You will need your hair to be moisturized because you are going to have to bleach the dark brown out. When I tried bleaching my hair at home it went rust colored and splotchy, so I know you have to go to a skilled hair professional for the best looking results. Start with some deep conditioning treatments at home before you get it bleached though, if you still want pretty hair that isn't totally destroyed at the end of all this! Blonde is beautiful, I hope you are able to fix your hair soon!
You can make a mixture of shampoo and baking soda... equal parts... shampoos are high on the ph scale and baking soda is way higher... it's going to make the shampoo super extreme deep cleansing... in the shower get you hair as hot as you can stand it... this will open up the cuticle of the hair... don't burn yourself... lather hair well with the mixture... let it set for a couple of minutes... rinse then condition well... over the course of the next week do this twice a day if you want... condition well of course.

This basically is the same as any color remover that you would buy that doesn't contain a bleaching agent... is way cheaper...I would do this before I would do what I would believe to be you next choice... bleaching and then tinting back to the color you want... I have had to do this before on a client... it is expensive and it ain't easy to do and it is harsh... I would rather live with it... over time it lighten... hope this helps!
Well, I didn't go from blonde to dark brown, but I went from medium brown to black and HATED it. I went to a salon and they have a treatment that will take most the color out. You will mostly have to have it highlighted or colored blonde again and it may take several steps or visits.

Hope I helped!
actually you can strip the colour from your hair. i have red hair and i decided to see how it would look dark brown. but i didnt like it so i went to my local chemists and asked her how to strip the colour from your hair and she said, use fairy liquid (washing up liquid).

but use it on its own. not mixed with anything. or use medicated shampoo's which will do similar things for your hair.

hope ive helped =)
I suffer with this problem as well. If the box doesn't want to open, try stabbing it with a steak knife a few times to put some holes in it, then just rip the box the rest of the way open. I hate the glue they use to keep it shut. They might as well put a lock on the dam thing right?
call the company that you used to dye your hair. friend dyed her hair and hated it so she call the company and they gave her a solution to put in her hair.

it was like peroxide or something.
No amount of soap will work. You need to go to a professional. Please take my advice. If you try this color removing you can really mess this up!

Tip your hair dresser 19 yrs. exp.
none of that will work...if its permanent, u will have to redye to the color u want. If your going blonde, go to a salon and get it done.
There is this thing called colorfix. and it takes out any dyes you've put in your hair.

you can get it at Sally Beauty stores..

or probably anywhere else they sell home hair dye.
the only safe way without damage or little dryness is highlite it blonde that will break up the darkness of ur hair I do this for a living
this might dissapoint you but you cant
