I've been wanting to color my hair but everytime I do, nothing really happens. It just stays black. My hair strands are so thick, is it just because of that. Can someone tell me how can hair color will have it's effect on my hair. please?Why is hair coloring not working for my hair?
If you want to ';dye your hair lighter'; it must be bleached!
You can't use dye to make your hair lighter, only darker.

You'll probably have to bleach your hair before dying it whatever color you want.
If you have black hair...you have to bleach it so it can be colored.
