I am trying to grow my hair long again. It used to be down to my waist but I cut it off 16 inches to donate recently. I want my hair to grow back very healthy.
Do you think hair coloring is really that bad for it? I am naturally a dark blonde but I have been getting my hair highlighted to a much lighter blonde. Should I continue to do this or just let my hair grow out with my natural color? Or should I just get maybe very few highlights?Do you think hair coloring is damaging to the hair?
I color my hair every 6-8 weeks, and my hair is fine.Do you think hair coloring is damaging to the hair?
Anything that you do to your hair with chemicals or blow drying or even curling is damaging.
My sister used to do a lot of coloring to her hair she is losing her hair on the front part. I can see a small bald spot.
I never did anything to my hair and my sisters hair began to grey 10 years before it should have and shes younger than me.
Also if you drink lots of water you will have healthy hair because it also matters what you put in your body.
It's better if you let your hair grow naturally. Hair coloring may have more consecuences than just damaging hair. My cousin is naturally brunett and once she colored her hair red, and like 2 hours later she started feeling awful, she had really strong headaches and she only wanted to cry and scream. So be careful.
As hair naturally lightens in the summer, there will be a bigger contrast between the main body of your hair and root re-growth. To create a balance, have a few warmer tints put through your parting and hairline rather than using just bleach. Ask for a quarter or half-head of highlights as this will give added depth to your hair. Make sure you use a good conditioning product after each wash and let your hair dry naturally.
it can be yes, because of the ammonia in it. Dyeing once in a while isn't bad but you can over do it to the point of your hair breaking and or falling out. Now when I say dyeing I'm talking about darkening the color (adding pigment). Bleaching is what does the most damage (taking pigment out).
OMG! I just dyed/streaked my hair and it started shedding on the sides. I have been using permanent dyes here and there for years but just this year it started ripping me and my bfriend hair apart. Take it from us, lighten up off the coloring because it will eventually start breaken and you will cry. If you want pretty hair you will start just wearing your natural color.
well, if you use bleach, that is very damaging to the hair. some hair colors though, can be conditioning and have no lift, which means they dont have any peroxide in it which can be healthier for the hair. so if you want to make it healthier, dont use bleach and try and use something that doesnt lift the crap out of your hair...hope that helps! go to a stylist and tell them what you are doing, they will know what to do:)
Well yes hair coloring is bad for your hair, heres another thing thats bad for your hair washing it everyday, it will dry it out - even my hairdresser says so, but I say if you want high lights then do it its a little damaging but if you want to do it then do it -
get very few. i think to a point it might damage but just use really good shampoo and conditioner. try to lay off the heat products like straightener or blow dryer. it always helps but i dont think its bad just dont do it alot.
colouring your hair is ok in moderation, your hair should grow back fine if you dont dye it to often and try not to use bleach as this is the most damaging for hair
Yes very damaging cause chemicals.
