Can I use Hot Topic hair coloring on my dark hair?

A lot of people are saying it won't work, that I'll have to bleach it. But what if I want colors like purple. Do I have to bleach it if it's a dark color? What colors can I use without having to bleach it. Will spray on work? Where can I get a good product?Can I use Hot Topic hair coloring on my dark hair?
Hot Topic isn't the place. I've tried it. it sucks. Go to like, a CVS or get it done prof. and if your hair is dark, get lighter highlight colors.Can I use Hot Topic hair coloring on my dark hair?
You can dye your hair without bleaching it, but it will be dark. Once I used Iguana Green in my dark brown hair and it looked almost black with a green tint and it caught the light with an almost emerald shade. Bleaching makes the color really bright (unless it's a dark color of course) and makes it stay longer supposedly. The green I used was supposed to be a neon green on bleached hair. Not bleaching is a little more subtle, but it is still definitely noticeable. If It's a dark color (like a dark purple or deep red etc) I would at least bleach it to a dark blond otherwise it may not show up.





I personally do not like spray on. It comes out really easy, like on your clothes and hands (if you mess with your hair, light push it out of your face or anything) and it doesn't look too great.





Also, I get most of my hair dye online wherever I can find the best price, I just look around for a while. Hot Topic had good colors, but they're expensive and you can get the same thing for cheaper online. Where I live there's a Sally's with makeup and hair stuff and they sell a few weird colors.
